The scarab appeared in Egyptian amulets, seals, and jewelry from the Old Kingdom onward, c. 2686 BCE. Shaped after the beetle observed rolling its ball across the sand, it became associated with Khepri — the morning sun, transformation, and the continuous cycle of becoming. Scarab amulets were worn by women as symbols of renewal — what was ending was also beginning again.
These earrings carry the scarab as drops suspended from huggie hoops — the form rooted in ancient amulets. A deep green cubic zirconia stone hangs below each scarab. Available in sterling silver or 18k gold vermeil. Ancient in origin. Made to last. Something ends, something begins.
